Sonnenstube Art Space, Lugano
For the first five-year cycle of Sonnenstube, I developed five signs inspired by the tools of art-making and craftsmanship. These elements rest on a background composed of traces left by rags soaked in paint—residual gestures, stains, and fragments of labor.
The accompanying illustration depicts the forced displacement of the art space, migrating from one temporary location to another, carrying with it a sense of impermanence, resilience, and continuous becoming.

My only regret regarding this project lies in having fallen short of the originally planned screen-printing workshop, which was meant to produce the bags directly within the gallery space, and in having photographed objects that unmistakably anchor the images to the specific time in which they were taken.
